Safety Alert: Daniel Defense Recalls Certain Rifles

Have you recently purchased a new Daniel Defense rifle? Then you may have an unsafe firearm as stated in a recent safety notification from Daniel Defense. Certain rifles produced from April 1, 2016 to March 3, 2017 may have a faulty disconnector that leads to a double-fire malfunction. Daniel Defense is offering to replace or repair all affected models.

Daniel Defense is committed to the highest level of quality and safety. In keeping with that commitment we are issuing a safety notification related to a condition we identified with the Disconnector in the Fire Control Group. This safety notification applies to certain firearms manufactured between April 1, 2016 and March 3, 2017. In a few cases, a double fire condition has occurred with a single pull of the trigger. In the Company’s spirit to always do the right thing, Daniel Defense will correct any and all potential conditions at no cost to the consumer as part of our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

  1. OH NO!! NOT DANIEL DEFENSE! According to some people that is the best rifle in the world! Will they recuperate from a recall?

For what they charge for thier products, one would think that this type of issue (that can and does)land the firearm owner 10+ yrs in prison/loss of rights and 250.000 in fines,would “never” happen. Stop bragging about your extremely over priced systems until ya’ll can correct the issues that plague your products.

  3. mine double fired numerous times and hung on the trigger numerous times. My gun dealer told me to get a “new hobby” as these were the best rifles made and nothing was wrong with the trigger. Who’s the dumbass now??
