Defender Outdoors Signs on as 2018 National Shooting Sports Month Partner
[Fort Worth, TX] – Defender Outdoors announced its involvement in the 2018 National Shooting Sports Month in partnership with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) today. This is the second year the NSSF has held National Shooting Sports Month and the second year Defender Outdoors has participated. Created to encourage participation in the shooting sports and emphasize firearms safety, this nationwide celebration will take place throughout the month of August.
“We are excited to see NSSF promoting National Shooting Sports Month,” said Defender Outdoors Shooting Center President Will James, “This an excellent way to get the word out about new Defender Outdoors events at our Shooting Center and our new Clay Sports Ranch. Shooting Sports Month is a perfect incentive for our members to introduce someone new to shooting. Our training classes, Range Days, and Full Auto Fridays are a great time to grow our shooting sports community here in Fort Worth.”
“Our first National Shooting Sports Month last year was a tremendous success, thanks to hundreds of ranges and retailers across the country signing up to take part and getting the word out to their customers and communities,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Shooting Range Services. “We’re thrilled to have Defender Outdoors join in continuing the celebration of the shooting sports in 2018.”

ABOUT DEFENDER OUTDOORS
Defender Outdoors began business in Aubrey, Texas after realizing that there is customer service void in the shooting sports community—particularly to new and female shooters. In 2013, Defender Outdoors opened its doors with three missions: (1) to provide the best customer service, (2) to provide all of our customers with a friendly and informative environment, and (3) to do so at the lowest price possible. Defender Outdoors has since expanded with North Texas’s largest, state-of-the-art indoor firearm shooting and training center near downtown Fort Worth, and an online webstore, and a sporting clays facility. Defender Outdoors recently relocated their Aubrey location to a new retail showroom in Argyle, TX.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the trade association for the firearms industry. Its mission is to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. Formed in 1961, NSSF has a membership of more than 12,000 manufacturers, distributors, firearms retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen’s organizations and publishers.
