CZ 75 LSP Out of the Box and into the Match Review!

It has been a while since Patrick Kelley graced us with an Out of the Box and into the Match review, so we were excited to get his review of the CZ 75 CTS LSP this week. In this review series, Patrick gets a brand new gun, gives it a quick clean and lube job, then takes it out for a Steel Challenge match. We like these reviews because it is what a new gun owner can expect from a new gun before after-market parts and modifications get used.

This review is a little different, as this handgun came straight from the CZ Custom Shop in Mesa, Arizona. So, this CZ 75 LSP might behave a little differently than most production models coming from CZ, but this should give you an idea of what the guys at the CZ Custom Shop can do! Check out Pat’s review here:

Whether it was the thrill of being out there again, high spirits from his wife’s recovery, or the excitement of a new gun, Mr. Kelley seemed pretty happy to be back on the range. His new CZ seemed to shoot flawlessly. With strict tolerances and the tight fit of a custom work handgun, the CTS LSP performed without failure during the whole match. After the match, Patrick took it out for some accuracy testing and it held sub-2″ groups at 25 yards with most of the 9mm loads Patrick tested. It might be a bit pricey, but if you’re looking for a Cadillac CZ, this CZ 75 CTS LSP is the gun for you.

  1. Thanks Pat for the review. I know the CZ 75 is a great pistol, but$1600 for a custom shop piece is quite a ways out of my ballpark. I don’t do any competition shooting so it would be like buying a professional set of golf clubs then heading over to the local miniature golf course. I do like the way the 75 feels in my hand, a little less of a handful than my P228 Sig. Anyway, glad all is well with your wife. Oh, and by the way, cheer up man😉
